Why is a DPA mandatory?
Under Art. 28 GDPR, a written Data Processing Agreement (DPA) is mandatory when an external service provider processes personal data on behalf of the law firm. Since VollSign processes client data, a DPA is legally required.
Requesting a DPA
Navigate to "Settings > Legal > Request DPA". Click "Apply for DPA". Our compliance team will send you a pre-filled DPA within 1–2 business days, tailored specifically to your firm.
Sign and archive the DPA
You can sign the received DPA directly through VollSign with legal validity and archive it. A copy remains in your document archive under "Settings > Legal > My Contracts".
